Our Story
The Tsietsi Mashinini Bursary Fund is part of the mission work under the Children and Youth Unit of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa (MCSA).
The goal of the bursary fund is to empower Methodist youth in the Southern African Connexion by facilitating opportunities for them to access tertiary education and therefore qualifications in all fields through full time study. The fund was established to facilitate the provision of financial aid to eligible students who meet the criteria for admission to various higher education programmes – with preference given to individuals who were previously disadvantaged. The bursary currently exclusively funds undergraduate studies of applicants in full time study.
The Tsietsi Mashinini Bursary Fund rolled out its first funding in the 2024 academic year. A total of seven bursaries valued at R10 000 each were given to academically deserving students for the 2024 academic year.
We are seeking your help to help us provide more bursaries for students in the 2025 academic year.
