Women’s Association
We, the members of the Women’s Association of the Methodist Church of S.A pledge ourselves anew in the harvest field of duty in our Church and Association.
On this day of dedication to fresh endeavor’s, we promise to unite that which has been torn asunder, to develop a sense of pride on our work for God and humankind.
We further promise that the hardest and humblest duties will be sone in the name of the Lord. As the Lord has chosen us to bring multitudes into the valley of decision, we intercede that in self- effacement and dedication, we may be used to lead many into this labour of love and into His Kingdom.
As servants of the Lord we will strive to comfort and relieve the neglected, the unwanted, the homeless and the untaught. We shall
strive to be firm and steadfast in the fight against evil in all its forms.
We promise not to lose vision in the pre-occupation of officialdom – but to have a prayerful approach to the problems of the
Association and so find solutions that will accord with the principles of the Church, the Women’s Association and, above all, the Kingdom of God.

VISION AND HOPES:
OUR THEME: “TAKE A STAND”
ESTHER 1:12 ” ….then Queen Vashti refused to come….”
Queen Vashti paved the way for Esther. We need to pave the way for our Esther’s to come. We as Women Association women must assure our girl child that your voice is your power. Vashti used her voice to say “NO” Like Esther we as women were called for a time like this. A time where our vulnerable women and children are being exploited. A time where we living in a sick world. A time where we need to instill in our children, especially our
girl child that it is ok to say NO. It’s OK not to go with the flow. In order for us to shape our tomorrow today we need to instill a voice in our youth and eradicate Gender Based Violence. We need to sit down and speak to our boy child.
Our vision for our term of office is to concentrate on our vulnerable women and children. We can’t change the world, but we can become the voice of the voiceless. The hope of the hopeless and we need to assure women out there that there are women who can TAKE A STAND FOR THEM.
