It is concerned with bridging the gap between perception and reality.
The Communications Unit in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa has steadily grown over the years. It now must be directed to form an integral cog of the wheel which would guarantee the continued success of the church’s vision and mission – that of creating ‘a Christ-healed Africa for the healing of nations’. The Communications Unit is a key component of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa, providing leadership and resources to help people experience, nurture and share a passionate faith in God. Through publications, website development and email communication, the Unit plans to help the Church focus on effective connections with their communities and with each other, and to grow in brotherly love as we become more and more like Christ.
The New Dimension is a resource for church members and the flagship of the Communications Unit, and strives to be topical, reliable, interesting and wide-reaching in subject matter. Through publications, the Communications Unit provides regular stimulating information on the life and witness of the church, socio-economic issues and the religious and cultural issues of society.
