Camdeboo Synod

Nestled in a sprawling valley within the vast Karoo region is Graaf Reinet where on 1-2 February the new Camdeboo Synod was inaugurated and the new bishop, Rev Louis Williams inducted as part of the MCSA’s multiplication for mission programme.
The General Secretary read the boundaries of the new Synod

Whereas, at Mission Synod held in Graaff Reinet on the 16th February 2019, a resolution was passed that the Synods of Cape of Good Hope, Grahamstown & Kimberley Namibia and Bloemfontein be sub-divided, and the Camdeboo Synod be formed; and whereas the Conference of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa held in Cape Town in September of 2019, formally agreed to the sub-division of the Synods;Be it known that a 15th Synod of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa is created out of the Cape of Good Hope, Grahamstown & Kimberley Namibia and Bloemfontein Synods, the boundaries which are: Garden Route Circuit; Central Karoo Circuit; Humansdorp Circuit; John Wesley Circuit; Upper Karoo Mission Circuit; Karoo East Circuit; Garden Route Circuit; Outeniqua Circuit; Middelburg Circuit; Cradock and Fish River Circuit and the DJ Mapekula Memorial Circuit.
